History
Active Valleys was founded in July of 2012 as the Active Community Enterprise (ACE) by Rob Griffiths and former students in partnership with the University of Glamorgan (now University of South Wales) and Rhonda Cynon Taf Council.
Active Valleys was created independently as a not-for-profit sports development business to give students quality work experience in the sport industry.
Today, Active Valleys continues to deliver and facilitate sport in the South Wales region while enhancing the skills of university students.
According to the Telegraph, only 22.5% of sport students go into a job related to their degree subject after graduation. In order to go into a job related to your degree, you must have work experience and this can be accomplished through the experience gained at Active Valleys.
